The Natick Taxmen

Now that our town's "PC'' coalition has banned the historic Redmen mascot, I can answer the search for a replacement: The Taxmen. The uniforms and associated paraphernalia can proudly wear that name with a red dollar sign symbol to signify Natick's recent tax and spend heritage.

Ever since the conversion from Downtown Natick to Natick Center and its associated designer-perfect buildings and accompaniments, this town has done nothing but continuously increase taxes and fees.

Despite my $600/year tax increase this year, apparently based on ignorance of the long-predicted market fallout, our leaders now require another $500/year increase, plus whatever our market wise assessors add for next year.

I hope all the supporters of another override enjoy walking on their new Center brick, illuminated and the other assorted useless and blinding signal lighted crosswalks around Natick in addition to the never ending Center amenities. All necessary to a cash-strapped town?

Due to the overwhelming support for another Mass Miracle Governor I'm sure the motto "Maine, the way life should be'' or any other get-out-of-Natick slogan will be our only relief, unless you live in and support the increasing demographic influence of the never ending developers.
